Why We Like It
The STV-21 takes a conventional canister stove and strips away a lot of the unnecessary weight and hardware. The all-titanium construction keeps it light, while the folding legs and compact dimensions make it easy to build into a small, efficient cook system.
The Tradeoff
At 1.7 ounces, this is light, but it’s not a complete cooking system by itself. You’ll still need a windscreen when conditions call for one, along with a compatible pot and fuel canister. The minimalist design is best suited to hikers who primarily boil water rather than people looking for a large, highly adjustable cooking platform.

A very appealing stove for an ultralight canister setup. The STV-21 gives you the convenience and quick heating of isobutane while keeping the stove itself below two ounces, and its ability to nest inside a TOAKS 750 mL pot makes it especially easy to build into a compact solo cooking system.
