Why We Like It
The NU25 MCT gives you something genuinely useful beyond simply more lumens: control over the color of the light. A warmer beam can be more comfortable in poor weather or around camp, while neutral and cooler options provide different choices for trail use. Combined with the low weight and rechargeable battery, that makes it a capable all-around headlamp.
The Tradeoff
The battery is built in, so you can’t carry a spare cell and swap it in the field. At 1.76 ounces, it’s also slightly heavier than the NU20 Classic, although that extra weight buys you a larger battery, higher maximum output, longer beam distance, and the additional color-temperature options.

A strong choice for hikers who want more versatility than a minimalist headlamp without moving into heavier lighting systems.
