Why We Like It
The Zip Porter is a useful middle ground between a basic open tote and a more complicated everyday bag. The zipper keeps your contents contained while the simple interior leaves plenty of room for whatever you’re carrying, and the relatively low weight makes it easy to keep around as a spare bag.
The Tradeoff
At 9.1 ounces, the Zip Porter isn’t an ultralight backpacking bag, and the zipper adds weight compared with Flowfold’s simpler open Porter. Its strength is versatility rather than absolute minimum weight: it’s a durable everyday tote that happens to be light enough to pack away when you’re not using it.
