Why We Like It
The clever part of this setup is the pan. Instead of carrying a lid that only serves one purpose, TOAKS gives you a shallow second cooking vessel that adds real versatility without requiring much additional weight. The 1100ml pot also gives solo hikers more breathing room when a 550–750ml pot starts feeling restrictive.
The Tradeoff
At 5.6 ounces for the complete set, this is considerably heavier than a minimalist 550ml or 650ml boil-only setup. The pan is also unnecessary if your backpacking meals consist primarily of boiling water, so the extra weight makes the most sense for hikers who actually want to cook.
Rikkar Take
A great choice when you’re ready to move beyond a simple boil-only cook kit. The 1100ml pot provides useful capacity while the pan adds genuine cooking versatility, making this a much better fit for hikers who enjoy preparing real meals rather than simply rehydrating food.
