These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all purchases made from Rikkar LLC, whether in-store, online, or via special order. By purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Products
1.1 Hand-Built & Custom Furniture
Hand-built or custom furniture items are made to order and may vary slightly in colour, texture, grain, finish, and dimensions due to the nature of raw materials and craftsmanship. These variations are not considered defects.
1.2 Boxed / Flat-Pack Furniture
Boxed items may require assembly. It is the customer’s responsibility to follow assembly instructions carefully. We are not liable for damage caused by incorrect assembly unless assembly was completed by our team.
2. Orders & Payment
2.1 Custom Orders
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to confirm any custom or made-to-order item. Work will not begin until the deposit is received.
2.2 Pricing
Prices are listed in USD and may change without notice. Once an order is confirmed, the agreed price will not change.
2.3 Payment Terms
Full payment is required before items are released for delivery or collection. For custom items, the balance must be paid prior to dispatch.
3. Lead Times
Lead times for hand-built furniture are estimates only. While we strive to meet quoted timeframes, delays may occur due to material availability, production schedules, or unforeseen circumstances. Such delays do not justify cancellation of custom orders.
4. Delivery & Collection
4.1 Delivery Service
Delivery fees may apply and will be quoted at checkout or at the time of order. Delivery includes carrying items to the property but does not include assembly unless agreed in advance.
4.2 Access
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure adequate access for furniture delivery. If delivery fails due to restricted access, redelivery fees will apply.
4.3 Inspection Upon Delivery
Customers should inspect items at delivery or collection. Any visible damage must be reported immediately.
5. Returns & Cancellations
5.1 Custom / Hand-Built Furniture
Custom or made-to-order items cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded once production has begun, except where the item is faulty under applicable consumer law.
5.2 Boxed / Flat-Pack Furniture
Unopened boxed items may be returned within 7 days with proof of purchase. Items must be in their original packaging. Returns of opened or partially assembled products may be refused or subject to a restocking fee.
5.3 Faulty Items
If an item is faulty, please notify us within 7 days with photos and a description. We will repair, replace, or refund the item in line with consumer protection laws.
6. Warranty
6.1 Standard Warranty
We provide a 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects for both hand-built and boxed furniture.
6.2 Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Misuse, improper care, or failure to follow care instructions
- Damage caused during self-assembly
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, moisture, or sunlight
7. Care & Maintenance
Care instructions are provided for certain products. Failure to follow these instructions may void your warranty.
8. Liability
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products, except where required by law.
9. Intellectual Property
All website content, images, product designs, and materials remain the intellectual property of Rikkar and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
10. Privacy
Customer information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not share your personal information except as required to fulfil your order or where legally required.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Hampshire. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
